Title:
PRR 7104, EFS-17M, 1964
Description:
Tipton. Here is an original photo that I took in Tipton, Pennsylvania, on 11 April 1964. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #7104 and #7111. Both are EFS-17M road switchers built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,750 horsepower each. #7104 was built in November of 1956, but #7111 was built in May of 1957. In this context, they're pulling a 135-car mineral train from Altoona to Enola along with cabin car #477866.

Title:
PRR Juniata E&M Shop Yard, 1966
Description:
Altoona Action. Here is an original 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Erecting & Machine Shop storage yard in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in June of 1966. Among the numerous locomotives depicted here is PRR engine #8968, a BS-16M road switcher built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in June of 1951 and retired in July of 1966. Beyond it is PRR engine #7104, an EFS-17M built by GM-EMD in November of 1956 and rated at 1,750 horsepower.
