Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken in Charleston, West Virginia, c. 1967. The photographer is not identified. Photo Caption: "Baldwin DS4-4-1000 #7961, 1000-hp, at Charleston, W.Va." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7961, a BS-10A switcher built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as number "5561" in February of 1950, rated at 1,000 horsepower, and renumbered "7961" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-16).
