Meadows. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Meadows Yard near Kearny, New Jersey, c. 1953. The photographer is not identified. Prominent here is PRR engine #5772-B, a BP-20 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in August of 1948, rated at 2,000 horsepower, and retired in December of 1963 after 15 years of service. Note the unidentified steam locomotive at the far right. ("Stoneborobranch"; #16 of 32) |
