Album Info:Here are ten photos of Pennsylvania Railroad diesel-electric locomotives utilized for passenger service. All of them were purchased via eBay auctions conducted by Mr. Tim Rose: one on 12 July 2020 and six on 24 August 2020. The photographer's name, the locomotive road number(s), the date, and the location are cited when specified on the slide mount. Description:  Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione. Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5754 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by the American Locomotive Company and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5754 is an AP-20 constructed in November of 1947 and retired in September of 1962 after just 15 years of revenue service. Description:  Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8849, an AS-16MS road switcher built by the American Locomotive Company in December of 1951 and rated at 1,600 horsepower. Looks to me like it's pulling one of the Pennsy's famous "Off-The-Beaten-Track" excursion trains. Wave to the Engineman! The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. Description:  Here a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in June of 1952. The photographer is not identified. Prominent in the center is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9478, an FP-20 built by Fairbanks-Morse in September of 1948, rated at 2,000 horsepower, later regeared and reclassified as an FF-20, and retired in December of 1963 after just 15 years of revenue service. Also visible are several Baldwin-built passenger "Sharks" whose road numbers are not recorded. ("Stoneborobranch"; #10 of 10)
