I chose to check out Shipman which is around the 142 mile marker between Lynchburg and Charlottesville. I was beginning to think I would not have any luck until I heard a MofW transmission that he would hold up at Oak Ridge until the train passed. A few minutes late the MofW equipment rolled by me and about 10 minutes later Intermodal Train 275 appeared. A beautiful day to catch some traffic at a place I had not visited before.

Description:  The Town of Crewe, Virginia was planned and built by the Norfolk & Western Railroad in 1888 to support operations at the halfway point between Roanoke and Norfolk, Virginia. It was named after another railroad town, Crewe, England.
